Delivery Policy

  • Your purchase of goods from www.yss.com.au ("website") or from Young Shower Screens ("instore" or "over the phone") is subject to these Terms and Conditions of Sale ("Terms of Sale"), and the Refunds Terms ("Refunds Policy"). If you do not accept these Terms, you must refrain from using this website or making an Offer.
  • In these terms:
    • "us" means Young Shower Screens.
    • "you" means anyone who visits and/or uses this website.
    • a reference to the "websites" means yss.com.au.
    • a reference to "instore" or "over the phone" means Young Shower Screens store or branch.
    • a reference to "staff" means Young Shower Screens employee.
    • "Offer" means making a purchase via the website, instore or over the phone.
    • "Order" means an Offer made by you in response to an invitation to treat made by Young Shower Screens via the website.
    • "Contracted Installer" means a shower screen installer recommended by Young Shower Screens.
Delivery by Australia Post
  • The terms of this clause apply where you select to have your goods delivered to a specified address by Australia Post.
  • The delivery address must be an address within Australia.
  • If you have specified an 'Authority to Leave' instruction for Australia Post, Young Shower Screens cannot and will not accept any claims by any party and from all loss or costs, of whatsoever nature, which you incur as a consequence of the Order being left in accordance with such 'Authority to Leave'.
  • Young Shower Screens will use its best endeavours to deliver your Order within any stated time frames for dispatch, however Young Shower Screens does not warranty that these time frames will always be met, as many factors may affect these time frames.
  • Young Shower Screens cannot and will not accept responsibility for delivery failures or delays by Australia Post.
  • You agree to any Terms and Conditions set by Australia Post which is available at www.australiapost.com.au
Delivery by TNT
  • The terms of this clause apply where you select to have your goods delivered to a specified address by TNT.
  • The delivery address must be an address within Australia.
  • Young Shower Screens will contact you by telephone or email to arrange with you a suitable date for delivery.
  • You will be required to be available in person to check for any damages and accept delivery of your Order.
  • The delivery driver will require assistance unloading your items.
  • Delivery is strictly to ground floor or street level only. No stairs.
  • If you wish to change the delivery date or delivery address you must let the Customer Service Team know at least 48 hours prior to the dispatch of your Order.
  • Young Shower Screens will use its best endeavours to deliver your Order within any stated time frames for dispatch. Young Shower Screens does not warranty that these time frames will always be met, as many factors may affect these time frames.
  • Young Shower Screens cannot and will not accept responsibility for delivery failures or delays by TNT.
  • You agree to any Terms and Conditions set by TNT which is available at www.tnt.com.au
  • Making a claim for defected glass:
    • After you have signed for delivery, you have up to 7 days to make any claims for glass defects.
    • You must also lodge your claim before any attempt at installation is made.
    • To lodge a claim you will need to take a photo of the defect and email it to us within the 7 day period.
Delivery by EXLTRANS
  • The terms of this clause apply where you select to have your goods delivered to a specified address by EXLTRANS.
  • The delivery address must be an address within Australia.
  • Young Shower Screens will contact you by telephone or email to arrange with you a suitable date for delivery.
  • You will be required to be available in person to check for any damages and accept delivery of your Order.
  • The delivery driver will require assistance unloading your items.
  • Delivery is strictly to ground floor or street level only. No stairs.
  • If you wish to change the delivery date or delivery address you must let the Customer Service Team know at least 48 hours prior to the dispatch of your Order.

  • Making a claim for defected glass:

Delivery by Young Shower Screens
  • The terms of this clause apply where you select to have your goods delivered to a specified address by Young Shower Screens.
  • The delivery address must be an address within Sydney metropolitan area.
  • Young Shower Screens will contact you by telephone or email to arrange with you a suitable date for delivery.
  • You will be required to be available in person to accept delivery of your Order.
  • Delivery is a one man service, additional charges will apply if a two man service is required.
  • Items will be delivered to the ground floor or street level only, unless lift access is available.
  • For large bulky item (such as items weighing 30kg or greater) the driver will require assistance unloading the items.
  • You must advise at the time you place your Order via the website or with our staff, of any difficulties that may be involved in the delivery.
  • If on arrival the driver deems the delivery to be a difficult location, Young Shower Screens reserves the right to refuse delivery when:
    • no assistance is provided when unloading the items; or
    • failure to state any difficulties involved in the delivery (such as stairs or narrow entries).

    If the delivery has been refused, you may either:
    • agree to pay for any re-delivery fees, including but not limited to any additional charges (such as two man delivery service); or
    • you may cancel your Order inaccorandance with the Refunds Policy (Non-Faulty Product), and you agree:
      i) you are liable for any refund fees as stated on the website; and
      ii) delivery cost is non-refundable.
  • If you wish to change the delivery date or delivery address you must let the Customer Service Team know at least 48 hours prior to the dispatch of your Order.
  • Making a claim for defected glass:

Delivery and Installation by Contracted Installers
  • The terms of this clause apply where you select to have your shower screen delivered and installed to a specified address by a Contracted Installer recommended by Young Shower Screens.
  • The installation fee is paid directly to the installer, and as such you have entered into a contract for the installation service with the Contracted Installer. Young Shower Screens is merely providing an introduction between you and the Contracted Installer and this does not constitute a contract between you and us.
  • The installation service for:
    • stock shower screens (as listed on the website) is a single visit service:
      • one visit which includes delivery and installation, and
      • excludes pre-measure.
    • custom shower screen is a two visit service:
      • first visit which includes a pre-measure, and
      • second visit which includes delivery and installation.
  • You must advise at the time you place your Order via the website, with our staff, or with the Contracted Installer, of any additional services such as:
    • removal of an existing shower screen ($55 per shower screen); and
    • disposal of the removed shower screen ($55 per shower screen)
    • cutting of a floor membrane ($55 per membrane)

    Removal of the existing shower screen must be preformed before the measure or installation service may commence.
  • Multiple shower screen installation discounts only apply if:
    • the installation of shower screens occur at the same time, and
    • the installation of screens occur at same location.
  • The installation address must be an address within Sydney metropolitan area.
  • The Contracted Installer will contact you by telephone or email to arrange with you a suitable date for installation.
  • You will be required to be available in person to accept delivery and installation of your Order.
  • For large bulky items (such as items weighing 30kg or greater) the Contracted Installer will require assistance.
  • You must advise at the time you place your Order via the website, with our staff or with the Contracted Installer, of any difficulties that may be involved in the delivery.
  • If on arrival the Contracted Installer deems the installation to be a difficult location, the Contracted Installer reserves the right to refuse installation when:
    • no assistance is provided; or
    • failure to state any difficulties involved in the installation (such as stairs or narrow entries).

    If the installation has been refused, you may either:
    • agree to pay the Contracted Installer for any additional charges (including but not limited to charges relating to: additional call-out fees, or a two man installation service); or
    • you may cancel your Order with Young Shower Screen inaccorandance with the Refunds Policy (Non-Faulty Product), and you agree:
      i) you are liable for any refund fees to Young Shower Screens as stated on the website; and
      ii) any delivery costs incurred by Young Shower Screens is non-refundable; and
      iii) any charges applied by the Contracted Installer (as a result of an attempted installation service which was refused) is deducted from the refunded amount.
